On November 11 – 13, 2008 the Berlin 6 Open Access Conference will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany. Under the motto “Changing Scholarly Communication in the Knowledge Society” the conference will be a place for discussion, analysis and critical review, five years after the Berlin Declaration was signed. As one of the sponsors of the Berlin 6 Open Access Conference the Service Center for Libraries of North Rhine-Westphalia (hbz) is pleased to welcome speakers and participants to discuss the role and progress of open access in Germany within a symposium on November 11, 2008.
