New Copyright: Keeping the Rights of the Authors at their own Publications

In the role of an author you can protect your rights to place your former (1966-1994 in paper magazines printed) publications also on-line or to let place them by e.g. your local library on-line professionally at a later time, if you grant your library the right before 31.12.2007 (thus very soon), (e.g. non-exclusive, without to forbid it for others, e.g. the publishing house) and to communicate this to the publishing house. Otherwise the right always cedes to the publishing house.

Open Access information platform - DFG funded project

A new Open Access information platform will be developed as a funded project by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). Its goal is to collect information to Open Access, give concrete recommendations for action and argumentation assistance, exchange of practical experiences as well as materials to Open Access. The Open Access information platform addresses itself primarily to scientific authors, university administration and socities.
